The name of the adapter will vary depending on which one is on your PC. It might have the word Adaptor or Adapter at the end of it. In the screenshot below, it is Mediatek Bluetooth Adaptor. Or it could be something like Intel (R) Bluetooth Wireless (R). But it would not have Enumerator in the name so you can skip those items.
Check If Your Computer Has Bluetooth Built-in Before attempting to connect your Bluetooth speaker to your PC, it’s important to check if your computer has Bluetooth built-in. Here’s how to do it: Click the Windows Start button and type “Device Manager” in the search bar. Click on the “Device Manager” option from the search results.
From here, select the option for “Device Manager”. This will open a list of all the hardware devices connected to your computer. Scroll down the list until you find the option for “Bluetooth”. Right- click on this option and select the option for “Enable”. This will enable Bluetooth on your computer.
Choose Device Manager. 2. Go to "View" and click "Show hidden devices". 3. In Device Manager, expand/click Bluetooth. 4. Right click on Bluetooth Generic Adapter and update the driver. Notes: -If you didn't have a "generic adapter" under Bluetooth, but you have an something there that ends with adapter.
To update the Bluetooth driver, use these steps: Open Start. Search for Device Manager and click the top result to open the app. Expand the Bluetooth branch. Right-click the adapter and select the Update driver option. Click the “Browse my computer for drivers” option. Click the Browse button. Select the folder containing the Bluetooth driver.
Enable Bluetooth. If your computer has Bluetooth, but your devices aren't connecting, check to make sure Bluetooth is enabled. Most Linux distributions have a Bluetooth icon in the panel or taskbar. Click the Bluetooth icon and select the option to turn Bluetooth on.
If Bluetooth is turned on and the driver is up to date but your device still doesn't work, try removing the device and re-pairing it. Here's how: Go to Start , enter Devices , select Bluetooth and other devices settings > select the device > Remove device > Yes .
