Having read many reviews on both here and the Fiat forum regarding the best way to replace transmission, gearbox oil, I managed to replace mine on a 2005 Hymer B524, Fiat 2.8 JTD over the weekend. I managed to obtain the correct oil as per Fiat specification, Tutela, ZC 75 Synth., SAE 75W/85 (full synthetic) but only from a main Fiat dealer.

Looking for an old sage that can help me with my Motorhome gearbox. It's a 1995 Ducato 14 RHD 2.5tdi Sofim with a 5 speed manual box bearing the etching 20KM20. I know these have issues with 5th..and there's plenty on here on that subject. However, mine has a bad crunch on 3rd, when approaching from 4th and an (almost livable) crunch from

I'm not familiar with the Ducato, but the normal method with circlip retained clutch cylinder hoses is to remove the circlip completely to allow the hose to be withdrawn. When fitting the new cylinder, push the hose in and refit the circlip, then pull the circlip out to it's first notch.
Sep 11, 2020. #3. Yes. Need specifics of your model, year etc. MultiECUscan can read the Auto gearbox codes if you also get the correct OBDII cable. and the software. The free version doesn't read the gearbox ecu so you will need a registered copy. I have the 2006 2.8 JTD and confirm I can access the gearbox ECU.
The 2.8 litre JTD engine was fitted from 1999 to 2006. Third generation ducato type X250 ran from 2006 to present. Fitted with 6 speed gearbox (6th gear is actually an extra ratio between old 4th and 5th) Ours is a year 2001. FIAT DUCATO Ducato 2.8jtd. Reverse light switch.
