I am average height at 5' 10" and would like to get a bit more contact with the ground. I have seen the lower seat options which seem to gain about 1 cm, but don't see good suspension options or other tricks which may lower but not sacrifice ride quality etc.
this is weird, because if ever a bike needed to be lowered for the vertically-challenged amongst us, it's this one. They want $700 for a seat that only takes .4" in height off! Ahhh, Eff that, I told him to find a reputable motorcycle seat upholstery guy and have him shave an inch or more off the seat and recover it with the stock covering.

The KTM 1190 Adventure radiates hot air up through the front of the seat to the inside of your knees. It has an almost agricultural V-twin sound as it revs up, but it smooths out and doesn’t blur the mirrors. However, if you sit on high revs for too long it can feel a bit buzzy.
